Here you will find links to some of my favorite cooking related sites. Check back here often as I update and add new links. And feel free to send me your suggestions.

 Bon Apetit!

  • AmericasTestKitchen.comFrom the same people who publish Cooks Illustrated magazine (yes, I subscribe to it). They have a show is on PBS, and are the "Consumer Reports" of cooking, taking no money from advertisers so they can remain unbiased.  Truly a good show, a great magazine, and a great web site. This is the only web site I pay to subscribe to, and it's well worth it, just for the recipes

  • Foodtv.comAgain, a great source of entertainment and cooking knowledge can be found on Cable TV, this at the Food Network. Top picks for best show on the Food Network include:

    • Emeril Live - with Chef Emeril Lagasse. If you've never seen him cook, you don't know what you're missing

    • Good Eats - with Chef Alton Brown.  He can be corny.  And he definitely is entertaining. But Alton Brown knows his cooking, and his show is a great source of knowledge and information about the food you cook, as well as a tutorial on how to do it.

    • Iron Chef America- If you haven't seen this show, you don't know what you're missing. And as a big bonus, Alton Brown is the host/commentator.

    • Party Line with Dan and Steve - A new show with the winners of the recent Food TV version of American Idol, I guess. They are pretty good and pretty entertaining, and make some great food, too!

    • The Barefoot Countessa - Ina Garten cooks good food with simple ingredients. Rich, mind you, but very good. I've tried a few of her recipes and they are all hits.

    • Paula Deen - She is as southern as can be. My only regret is that I did not eat in her restaurant when I was in Savannah.... but I will for sure, next time.

    • Martha Stewart - Not currently on Food TV, but I sure wish she was. I miss her and like her food and her style a lot. Besides, she's half Polish!

    • 30 Minute Meals - Rachel Ray is very perky, but it's hard to not like her. She's got a nice personality, great smile, and cooks well too!

  • About.com - The Food section of this web site has a lot to offer--many great recipes for all types of cuisine from all over the world. Even when I search Google for a recipe, I often end up here.

  • Better Homes and Gardens - Everybody has web sites these days, and you should be glad that Better Homes and gardens is online.  Can't think of a thing to make for dinner tonight?  Or for that party next week? Or need a quick and easy dessert?  Well, this is the place to find all those things.  Whenever I want to find a recipe, this is my first stop.

  • I've kept your interest this long..... now.... what you've been waiting for: my recipesTechnically, these are all "someone else's" recipes.  But I've put them here, so I feel I can take some credit for them.  And I've made them and survived, so I can take even more credit.
